THE EXPLANATION

To capture the ideological underpinning of 'luxury' and 'grandeur' by the client, Mountain and Moon (upper level), I utilised a spiral staircase to suggest modernism and futurist growth. The materials of marble and stone further capture this as one entering the building sees the wide, unconfined spiral staircase leading from a basic wooden room to a grand, regal room with stunning white marble walls and tiled floors. The stair encompasses them on a journey upwards; the spiral being wide stops them from feeling confined. The noun which highly inspired this section, "DISCOVERY" is in the epitome of the individual's mindset as they progress up into a new world venturing into what seems like an ethereal experience.
